Senator Brian Burston (PHONP) presented Questions on Notice re RCB submissions to the Defence Minister, Sen.Marisse Payne on 15th December 2017. The answers from the Department of Defence were provided by Sen. Mathias Cormann (in the Minister’s absence) in February 2018.

Has the Prime Minister really been allowed to read the August 2017 RCB submission to apply his own intellect and sense of fair play, or is the Minister’s statement that the PM is comfortable with advice on the matter another fabrication by brief writers?

The Prime minister wrote personally to Senator Burston on the matter of Rifle Company Butterworth on 15th September 2017.
